Paramedics employed by the Colton Fire Department engage directly in firefighting, emergency medical care, technical rescue, hazardous materials mitigation, disaster responses, fire prevention, public education, and community service. We are here to provide not only emergency care, but also personal care and services.

Why should you join our Department?

Are you tired of:
- Continuous force hires
- Big city/county/state issues
- Unhealthy work/life balance

Our department succeeds because our employees succeed, and we firmly believe in mentoring our members at all ranks. Joining our agency means you will be working alongside passionate, dedicated, and innovative members to provide excellent service to our community, visitors, and those who travel through our major highways.

Our standards are high. We recognize current challenges and tackle them head on, all while striving for, and progressing toward excellence in every aspect of our job. If you believe you have what it takes to be a part of our community of firefighters, we invite you to apply today!

Thank you to our Brothers and Sisters in blue. We truly appreciate your efforts and sacrifices to keep us safe.
Colton Fire’s 2022 run statistics. It was a busy year for us. We ran 404 more emergency calls than we did last year, while hosting several exams, fire prevention inspections, training and equipment/facility maintenance.
We are here to serve our community!
Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
Our sincere condolences go out to the family of Officer Isaiah Cordero and to our brother and sisters at Riverside Sheriffs' Association.
The men and women of the Colton Fire Department wish you all a Merry Christmas, along with a Happy and Safe New Year!
Congratulation to Engineer Ron Helms on his official retirement. Ron started working for the Colton Fire Department on April 22 of 1997 as a firefighter paramedic. On October 29, 2006, he promoted to fire engineer and retired on November 21, 2022. During his course of employment, Ron has been assigned to several different stations, operating several different pieces of equipment. Ron has always been a great mentor, sharing his expertise and experience with all members of our organization.
We have all had some great laughs with Ron and he will be missed. We wish you the best of luck on all of your future endeavors, and wish you a long, happy retirement. Enjoy!
Be on the lookout for Santa starting Monday, December 12th around 5:30pm. He should be working his way through the downtown area with his firefighter friends.

Please remember that they cannot travel down cul-de-sac (dead end) streets, apartment complexes and mobile home parks. If you are in these areas and would like to see the parade,, please go to a thru street in the neighborhood. We do our best to cover every street.

This parade is weather dependent, so please watch our social media sites for updates in the event of inclement weather.
